Common Questions

How does the free tier work?

Free gets you 1 YouTube upload per day, forever. That's the entire pipeline running on your storefront: affiliate tagging, monetisation defaults, Pinterest crosspost, Creator Connections scanning. Nothing is gated. You see exactly how Halo handles your videos before paying anything. If 1 upload per day is enough for your storefront, you can stay Free forever.

Who is the Studio tier for?

Studio is for creators with very large libraries (1,000+ videos) who want a steady, sustainable upload rhythm and a dedicated YouTube API quota pool. At 27 uploads per day (800/month), Studio is paced for long-term channel health — fast enough to migrate sizeable libraries in months, slow enough to stay well clear of YouTube spam-detection thresholds. Studio includes 1:1 setup of your own Google Cloud project so uploads run on your YouTube API quota pool, never shared with other Halo users. Studio does not include a free trial and is not eligible for early-adopter pricing.

Why does Studio require my own Google Cloud project?

Halo's shared Cloud project has a 1,000,000 YouTube Data API unit/day quota. A Studio user's 27 daily uploads cost ~46,000 units/day — small per user, but at scale the shared pool would slow down for everyone. Studio includes a 30-minute onboarding call where we walk you through Cloud Console, OAuth consent, YouTube Data API enablement, and credential install. After that, your uploads run on your own fresh 1,000,000 unit pool, never competing with other Halo users. You get a 14-day grace window on the shared pool at activation so onboarding never blocks your first uploads, with one optional 14-day extension if you need it (max 28 days total). After grace, the server requires BYO to be connected before queuing new uploads.

What are the monthly upload limits?

Each paid tier has a flat monthly upload cap, sized so the cadence is sustainable and YouTube-safe: Basic 60/month (~2/day), Pro 120/month (~4/day), Max 240/month (~8/day), Studio 800/month (~27/day). Free is 30/month (1/day). Uploads spread automatically across each day so the channel never bursts. If you need to migrate faster than your tier's cadence allows, Halo Express (one-time purchase) delivers a block of credits at ~97/day — see the Express section above the FAQ.

What's BYO Cloud, and when do I need it?

BYO Cloud means you set up your own Google Cloud project with the YouTube Data API enabled, and Halo uploads on your quota instead of our shared pool. BYO is required for Studio (after the 14-day grace) and required for Halo Express (any tier). YouTube gives each Cloud project 1,000,000 API quota units per day; at ~1,700 units per video upload that is roughly 588 uploads per day on a fresh project. On BYO, all of that is yours. We walk you through the setup in a 1:1 onboarding call for Studio (30 minutes, included in the price). For Basic, Pro, and Max, BYO is optional — the shared pool comfortably covers your tier's cadence.

What is Halo Express?

Express is a one-time upload credit pack delivered at ~97/day — just under YouTube's per-channel ceiling. It's for users who already have an established channel and need to move a large library quickly, without committing to a Studio subscription. Four pack sizes: 500 credits ($150), 1,000 ($250), 2,500 ($500), 5,000 ($900). Express requires an active paid subscription, BYO YouTube credentials, a channel at least 90 days old with 100+ subscribers, and a library big enough to support the credit count without running into the per-product cooldown. Express is non-refundable and you accept the channel-velocity risk at purchase. See the Express section above for full eligibility.

What's the per-product cooldown?

To protect your channel from looking spammy and to keep videos performing, Halo enforces a 7-day cooldown per ASIN on the shared pool (one upload per product per week). On BYO (your own Cloud project), the cooldown is 3 uploads per product per week. The cooldown is the only meaningful constraint on Express delivery speed — if you have 100 products and Express, you'll deliver up to ~43/day, not the full 97/day. We require library size ≥ credits/3 at Express purchase so you don't run into this wall mid-pack.

How does the 7-day free trial work?

Basic and Pro include a 7-day free trial (30 days for Early Adopters when available). Full feature access during the trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime from your Account page. Max and Studio do not include free trials — they're paid from day one because their cadence and onboarding investment don't fit a 7-day trial window.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your Account page anytime. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. Any already-scheduled uploads stay queued and complete. No cancellation fees, no lock-in.

Do you offer refunds?

If you're not satisfied within the first 7 days of a paid subscription, email support@halomaximizer.com and we'll issue a full refund, no questions asked.

Is my Amazon account safe?

Yes. HALO only reads data from your storefront and the Creator Connections page. We never store your Amazon credentials, passwords, or session tokens. The Chrome extension operates on pages you're already logged into.
